Genealogy core is deep: explicit audited same-Family person merges, parent-child CRUD with same-tenant FK enforcement, symmetric spouse/partner relationships with canonical pair storage, derived sibling/grandparent projections with evidence trails, cycle-safe bounded ancestor/descendant trees, and deterministic shortest relationship-path search — plus reusable source citations and immutable person assertions with preferred conclusions.

Admin is a deliberately separate Control Center (see ADR-0018) with its own Auth0-based identity and platform-role grants, and a provider-neutral AI analytics control plane (ADR-0019) rather than being wired to one vendor. Also supports Tailscale/LAN device testing by binding the web service to all interfaces.

Sibling repo familytree carries the same product name and an actively-worked React Flow canvas (auto-layout, node dragging, union/generation alignment) but hasn't been touched since 2026-08-08 — banyanroots looks like the current production-oriented continuation. Worth confirming which one is authoritative going forward.
